there’s a data center in my backyard is a visual exploration of and indirect discussion of the impacts of AI on one broad but important aspect within society: the natural environment. Through photographic documentation of natural landscapes impacted and resources extracted, the project seeks not to reverse the integration of AI into society but rather to push individuals to think, learn, and acknowledge its negative effects on our culture, humanity, and the world.
The exhibition was held in the Pratt Institute Photography Gallery from 4/20-4/24, 2026.
